A cozy stay by the lake
Upon arrival, we were greeted with homemade cake, instantly making us feel at home. The breakfast was a feast, with a wide range of fresh local produce, including delicious homemade bread and muffins to enjoy later. The hosts, Andrew and Abigail, shared wonderful tips on local walks that truly enhanced our experience.
Despite an overall wonderful stay, the narrow access to the parking area was slightly challenging, especially for larger vehicles. I felt the ensuite bathroom could benefit from more towel hooks.

Room access can be tricky with narrow hallways!!! Minor inconveniences like small bathroom sink sizes and awkward showerhead placements could use attention!!! Parking access is too narrow for larger vehicles, though there's street parking available!!!

Staying at Ivythwaite Lodge was a delight. The room’s cleanliness was unmatched, making me feel truly at home. Fresh milk and bottled water in the room was a nice touch as well. Breakfast included a wide range of locally sourced produce that was beautifully presented. Homemade muffins available for later were a charming addition. My only concern was the parking access, which might be tricky for larger vehicles. The check-in communication could also use some improvement. it felt a bit confusing at times. memorable stay thanks to the thoughtful touches and quality service.

A comfortable two-night stay featured a beautifully decorated room with thoughtful touches like a personalized welcome pack and fresh homemade lemon drizzle cake. The breakfast selection was impressive, highlighting local produce, with options like fresh fruit and homemade muffins. the bed was a bit too firm for my liking, and accessing the kettle was somewhat inconvenient due to its low position.
